How to Sign Up to Attend

You can sign up your whole group by going to precisonplanting.com/ptipontiac. Once there, select a date and block off the number of seats that your group will need. Once you're registered, you can share the date with your customers when you meet with them.

If a customer requests a seat later, you can sign them up at that time, also. Registration is on a first-come/first-served basis until the 40 seats for the day are taken.

How to Help Everyone  Attend

Due to the limited number of planters available for the Ride N Drive portion of the event, we are limiting each session to 40 seats. Once all the seats are reserved, you won't be able to register for the session. Because of the limited number of seats, we ask you to only reserve the number of seats that you will need.

If you end up having extra seats, please let us know and we'll make the seats available. The earlier you let us know, the better chance someone can use the empty seat.

You can email us at ptipontiac@precionplanting.com with the subject line "Unfilled Seats for PTI". Include your dealership name, session date, starting time, and the number of extra seats you have. We appreciate your cooperation with this to make the sessions available to as many growers as possible.

Session Details

Core Principles

Growers can get in the field with the Precision Planting team and look at the difference between getting emergence and seed placement correct vs incorrect. They'll experience how planter settings and control systems play a large role in getting it right.

Agronomy Session

Downforce, depth, and closing all have an impact on emergence and yield of corn and soybeans. Join us as we look at the impact of these three operations of the planter in detail for both crops.

Agronomy Tour

We know that the idea of a grower doing large scale research on their own farm is hard, so we have dedicated 200 acres to agronomy trials. Here, they can see some of these plots up close and hear Commercial Agronomist, Jason Webster, share knowledge gained from fertility, planting date, speed, and other on-farm research, including the new water recycling project that is unique to the PTI farm. They'll see how we push the limits of agronomy during this interactive ride around the PTI farm.

Ride N Drive

It's challenging to truly have confidence in the technology that is in the marketplace if you have never used it. The Ride N Drive area is a 20-acre section of the PTI farm that is dedicated to letting your customers operate the newest planter technology. They can operate products that can't even be purchased yet as they take over the steering wheel and run these planters alongside a Precision Planting technician.
